Solid wood crates

Solid wood crates work well for transporting and storing large and heavy goods, such as industrial machinery, production lines or control cabinets. They are very robust, resistant to damage and protect the product well.

Wood is airtight, it does not rust like metal, and it has hygroscopic properties, meaning that it absorbs moisture or gives it back to the environment. What is more, it insulates well thermally and electrically and shows good resistance to many chemical agents. All this makes solid wood crates the perfect solution for sea and land transport, where good protection of the goods from adverse conditions is important.

At SOR-DREW, we work with pine and spruce wood, sourced exclusively from the State Forests. Packages intended for transport in conditions of increased humidity are additionally protected with aluminium vacuum foil. The fulfilment of orders for packaging for international transport also includes the mandatory biological sterilisation of wood in accordance with ISPM 15.
