Packaging for road transport

When packing for road transport, it is necessary to consider several key factors, such as the condition of the roads and the related shocks or weight limits. With these considerations in mind, we always securely protect cargo for domestic transport against shocks and tilting. In order to stabilise the contents of the packaging, we use a variety of accessories, including non-slip mats, clips, tapes or fastening straps. Our crates are also fitted with special shock and tilt sensors. These devices indicate any dangerous change of position or impact.

The main limitation in land transport is the weight of the load – exceeding the vehicle axle load standard can be very dangerous both to the vehicle itself and other road users. That is why SOR-DREW offers packaging made of various materials – if the goods do not require special protection, e.g. against rain or moisture, we offer for example, plywood, openwork crates or even platforms alone instead of solid wood.
